Our client is an ASX listed Top 100 and they are seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Regional Manager to lead one of their highly successful Business Units. This complex operation has a turnover of circa $100m, 400 employees & 280 trucks across five Sydney Metropolitan depots. This leadership role has full accountability for safety and environment, sustainability, profit and loss, operational performance of the business, employee engagement and customer experience as they support their region.

Reporting into the General Manager, this role is a combination of strategic and proactive tactical leadership. This role is accountable for strategically leading, directing and managing all operations within the Business Unit, working with the local leadership team and supporting the functions to deliver on agreed business plans, profit targets and strategic objectives. The RM is responsible for driving home their safe and environment first culture.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Proven Executive Leadership experience managing a multisite logistics type business, a dispersed leadership team, multiple P&Ls and customer contracts requiring regular communication
- Demonstrated executive leadership experience in a logistics or waste operation
- Proven expertise in maximising on resource utilisation and route maximisation for a multisite operation
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills - ideally experience developing authentic relationships through exceptional service execution and the well-executed management of council contracts
- Demonstrated strong negotiation and influencing skills, including bargaining large enterprise agreements with employees and Unions
- An entrepreneurial flair complemented with a transformational leadership style in a fast paced/dynamic environment
- Demonstrated Sales & Operational leadership success, underpinned by strong commercial and financial acumen
- Demonstrated experience in significant size tender response negotiation & management
- Proven operating rhythm that enables you to retain line of sight over a multi-site operation
- Experience in the development and delivery of budgets in a complex business by overseeing and driving operational discipline, KPI reporting and excellence processes to support P&L performance
- Strong knowledge of business reporting and analytical practices
- Experience as a key contributor to the sustainability of a high-performance, values-based and respectful company culture
- What is a nice to have is a demonstrated experience in the waste and resource recovery industry
