**Our Journey**:
Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals run. We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

The General Services Department at Monash Medical Centre (MMC) requires an Environmental Services Assistant to work as part of our team performing cleaning in Monash Heart.

**Environmental Services Assistant - Monash Heart (MMC)**

Monday - Friday 07.30 - 15.00
- (70 hours per fortnight)_

**A Day in the Life**:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Environmental cubicle cleaning DI Scanner room
- Cleaning of floor surfaces
- Waste segregation and removal/transport to main loading dock
- Linen removal and transport to the main linen loading dock for removal
- Cleaning and restocking of patient and staff amenities
- Transporting linen
- Cleaning of office and treatment areas
- General department cleaning

A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team and flexibility to change shifts or cover staff leave at short notice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Holds a strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks

**What you need**:

- Certificate III Cleaning Services _(Desirable)_
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning in a healthcare environment
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
