As a talented Food Services Assistant, you will be responsible for duties including preparation, regeneration, plating, delivery and collection of meals throughout the day. Other responsibilities include and not limited to: - Assist in the preparation of meals - Accurately assembling tray supplies and food on tray line - Clean Kitchen and equipment - Deliver, distribute, and collect all meal requirements - Strip, sort, sanitise, and clean all trays, cutlery and utensils - Completing all food safety documentation in a timely manner **About Us**: **Support Services team the "heartbeat" of Monash Health's with new Food Services Assistant Evening and Morning Shifts at the first ever Heart Hospital.** As a **Monash Health** hospital, the **Victorian Heart Hospital** features a unique, holistic model of care with first ever cardiac services to provide tailored cardiovascular care for all Victorians, and specialised lifesaving procedures for our community. To ensure your success in this role, you will have the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge: - Current Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1 (Essential) - Qualification relevant to Health HLTFS207C - Follow basic food safety practice (desirable) - Previous experience preferably within healthcare - Experience in the delivery of Food Services including an ability to negotiate positive outcomes for patients - Clear understanding food safety guidelines - A competent level of verbal & written communication skills - Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) combined with outstanding customer service skills - Comprehensive understanding of diet codes, texture modified foods and fluids, food allergies and intolerances. - Ability to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling - Basic to intermediate computer skills - Excellent customer service skills, able to provide a friendly approach to all patients and visitors at Monash Health. **In Return**: Monash Health is a great place to work.
