About the role
We are seeking a values-driven AOD Consultant Manager who will aid in managing the residential Alcohol and Other Drugs Rehabilitation centre which supports marginalised persons who are experiencing difficulty with drug and alcohol use. Drive cultural change across key focus areas of performance, professional and interpersonal relationships, and communication. Encourage and role model a culture that aligns to the mission and vision of TSA and demonstrated by all employees and in all aspects of the program. Support individual and team performance through day-to-day supervision and leadership to achieve successful program outcomes.
You will successfully
- Develop and implement strategies to support culture change and drive performance improvement
- Work with the State Manager and local leadership to review areas of service delivery
- Build local leadership capacity to achieve an engaged and high functioning team.
- Role model professional behaviour including interactions with employees and participants
- Support and encourage the team to resolve difficult or complex client behaviour in line with the National Model of Care and operational guidelines
- Work with local leadership to develop/ maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including DHS representatives and the community to enhance service delivery for clients
- Create an employee meeting schedule that engages all employees within the program
- Ensure all employees are aware of program development and have input into the development of the program
- Attend and contribute effectively to both internal and sector-based networking meetings as agreed with State Manager
- Regularly review the operating statement to ensure all program spending aligns with budget
- Regularly review client files to ensure that client documentation is accurate, and that client confidentiality and privacy is respected at all times in accordance with The Salvation Army policies and standards
- Hold regular supervision with direct reports and ensure all other employees at the Centre receive regular supervision
This is a fixed term (3 months from hire date) Part-time(30.4 hrs per week) located in Bendigo, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS SACS VIC Level 7.
You will have
- Bachelor of Human Services/Social Work or similar, Master of Social Work
- Diploma in Health or Community Services, desirable.
- AOD skill set or willing to obtain within 12 months
- Extensive relevant experience in a social service environment
- Forensic Fundamentals - is this an essential to an AOD Manager role?
- A current and valid Working with Children Check
- A current Victorian Drivers licence
- Evidence of meeting all requirements of being fully vaccinated for the Mandatory COVID 19 Vaccination
- A national police record check is required
