About the Role

Technology is enabling AGL’s transformation programs and it’s important that we work collaboratively, as ‘one tribe’ to achieve results.

The Portfolio Analyst will support the Senior Portfolio Lead and the wider Portfolio & Planning team with analysis, modelling and partnering with delivery teams to manage the business investment to deliver results through planning, reporting and governance services as well as delivery and support of portfolio processes.

What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in the development and adoption of governance frameworks, processes and reporting across the Technology portfolio with other PMO bodies- Support the operationalization and roll-out of workforce and capacity planning capability, working with delivery leads to build out team plans- Assist in the development and adoption of Performance and Portfolio reporting for the Retail Energy Technology portfolio including the development of measures, metrics and insights- Undertake portfolio analysis, modelling and risk analysis to inform decisions on portfolio options and risks- Contribute to the development and communication of the key value points delivered by Technology in terms of both financial and non-financial outcomes and benefits- Work closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure all corporate planning and budget requirements are met- Assist in the management of the operating rhythm for key governance activities for Technology (such as QBR, QTR, BPR, portfolio forum etc.) including all inputs- Assist business and technology colleagues (Project Managers, Product Owners et al) in managing initiatives through execution, including costs, benefits, resource implications, capacity planning, decision support and ensure correct funding is in place and facilitate the removal of blockages to execute on plan

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Proven experience in a similar portfolio/project management role in a large complex organisation- Strong understanding of financial concepts as applied to the management of projects and portfolios (incl. modelling staff cost recoveries, timesheets and capitalisation of project costs)- Experience with governance processes including status reporting, budget and financial tracking- Ability to influence stakeholders of varying levels and work collaboratively with others and build/maintain strong working relationships- High attention to detail with the ability to remove roadblocks, make things happen and be entrepreneurial- Advance level of MS Office Suite (Power BI, Power Apps, Excel, PowerPoint) & SAP Fiori- A working knowledge of the Utilities industry and energy markets would be advantageous but is not essential- Relevant tertiary and post grad qualifications (SAFE, Prince 2, PMP), or equivalent business experience- Exposure to Agile or PMO teams and operations would be beneficial
