**About the Role**
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the important work of the Wurru Wurru Health Unit (First Nations health team) at the renowned Melbourne Medical School. Collaborating closely with academic and professional staff within the Department of Medical Education, the lecturer in this role will play a crucial role in supporting educational research outputs, facilitating scholarly presentations and publications, and driving curriculum innovation and assessment advancements in the field of First Nations health. Additionally, there may be opportunities to supervise research students across the Doctor of Medicine (MD) course, further enhancing your impact in shaping the future of healthcare education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Key member of the Wurru Wurru Health Unit (WWHU), providing administrative research support to the Director
- Conduct qualitative data analysis (under the guidance of the Director of the WWHU) and quantitative analysis of evaluation data
- Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for publication, reports, and conference presentations
**Who We Are Looking For**
You are a collaborative individual with experience in curriculum design and development, particularly in the context of First Nations health. You excel in working across diverse disciplines and have demonstrated exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. With strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, you are motivated to coordinate project events and activities, synthesising peer-reviewed and grey literature to drive impactful outcomes.
You will also have:
- Registered health professional (AHPRA or equivalent) and/or completion of an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and/or currently training in the areas of health or education.
- Understanding of the principles of First Nations health.
- Experience in quantitative analysis using statistical software packages such as SPSS.
