And you’ll be part of our high performing team, where you reap the rewards of our collective success now and into the future. **About the Opportunity** We are seeking a dynamic **State Account Manager** within food pillar based in our Macquarie Park office on full time basis to support with management and acquisition of state accounts and development of the sales and targeting strategy for new state account acquisition and some one who can work collaboratively with the regional operations teams and national sales & partnerships team to identify and correctly position new opportunities. Ideal person will also be responsible for developing and managing the sales planning process to execute growth while maintaining revenue growth and profit for existing state account customers. The role has direct reporting line into the Regional Operations Manager (NSW/VIC). **In this Role** - Maintain & grow existing state based accounts - Strategic Account actions (set joint business plans with customers for next 6-12 months) - Develop and maintain the strategic state sales account roadmap - Ability to read, comprehend and evaluate P&L, financial forecasts and determine leverage opportunities - Evaluates product mix, GP margins, product range, buyer characteristics - Build strong networks with key customers, own your accounts - Develop category offer in line with market trends and profitability targets. - Work cross functionally with finance, marketing, operations and merchandise to create and deliver customer led solutions. **You’re Likely a Match If*** - Customer centric driver of growth, solutions oriented - High Commercial and Business acumen - +5 years sales experience in FMCG - 2 years State Based Account Key Management - Manage key customers, negotiate opportunities and present solutions - Energetic results orientated team player - Sales ability and persuasiveness, Sales qualifications preferred - Ability to hunt and onboard new business **Life at Metcash **_(always use these, add others if they’re role specific)_ Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
