Based in Sydney, this role is open to applicants with a background in accounting to join a small Finance team that oversees accounting and regulatory support activity performed offshore. This role is ideal for someone with a background or interest in regulatory reporting and Global Market product accounting. **What you will be responsible for**

As Financial Accountant you will

Daily focus facilitating preparation and 1st line review of Regulatory reporting deliverables of monthly, quarterly, and adhoc regulator request.
- Working with a Bangalore based Regulatory Reporting team to ensure all APRA/ABS/RBA returns submitted on time and accurately
- Working with various teams to resolve defects and identify enhancements, supporting through process improvement and documentation
- Responding to information and data requests from APRA and other regulatory bodies
- Preparation of regulatory returns when needed. This includes workpaper creation, movement analysis, commentary etc.
- Monitoring branch entity daily performance, liaise with Treasury, FX and relevant stakeholders

Other tasks
- Assisting in reviewing month end Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts
- Assisting in the preparation of statutory financial statements for group entities
- Assisting with the coordination of year-end deliverables with external auditors to provide all necessary information for audit purposes
- Assisting Financial Controller with adhoc tasks as required
- Involvement with transformation projects

**Education & Preferred Qualifications**
- CA/CPA qualified ideal but not essential.
