**What does the role involve?**

As the Product Manager - StarTrack Road Express is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle to achieve required commercial and customer outcomes associated with the Road Express product. Through effective collaboration and leading market & industry knowledge, the focus is on the development and execution of short to mid-term product and yield improvement strategies. Whilst the primary product is Road Express, the role is also expected to support other StarTrack Products when a generic approach is required. This position reports to the Senior Product Manager - Road Express. Key accountabilities include:

- Manage the development of business to business (B2B) product initiatives and campaigns aligned to StarTrack KPIs and customer experience metrics.
- Ensure that sales and customer product collateral is current and relevant.
- Oversee and influence the quality of operational product management activities including issue management, freight profile remediation, business rules, policy adherence and supporting service standards.
- Support the development of and drive Road Express product strategy, product plans, business cases and related investments.
- Partner with Sales, Product Sales Specialists and Operations stakeholders to inform and validate product related decisions and influence commercially significant sales opportunities.
- Utilise customer & competitive insights to support product decision making, understanding & validating the value proposition to the customer and positioning of the Road Express product in the B2B market.

**What experience will you have?**

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Minimum 4 years industry experience as a Product Manager or Specialist.
- Specific product knowledge and experience in the Supply Chain and Logistics industry (B2B preferred).
- Understanding of key market drivers, industry players and latest developments within the B2B market.
- Think expansively - combines ideas in unique ways or makes connections between disparate ideas explores different lines of thought; views situations from multiple approaches/solutions.
- Competent in developing and presenting a persuasive case for action.
- Experience in product development, campaigns and product lifecycle management. Able to leverage existing customer, financial and market data to generate meaningful insights.
- Experience in innovating to generate new lines of revenue and to enhance products and services
- Knowledge of commercial, legal, and contractual practices and obligations in the Australian market
- Understanding of the product levers that drive profitability and cost structure
- Strong track record in developing and implementing strategies, plans and work programs. Enabler of continuous improvement.
