**The Opportunity**

- Full time - 38 hrs p/week_

Sea to Summit is looking for new team member to join our Global Marketing team with the role of Technical Resources Manager.

The role will have a focal point of expertise who can talk to not only the Sea to Summit brand, but also the broader outdoor industry, helping to ensure global consistency in approach.

As Technical Resources Manager you will ensure that the messaging around the STS brand is appropriate for the audience, whether that be internal/external stakeholders or consumers, with an appropriate message being distilled and provided to each grouping.

The role will be based in Perth, WA, Australia.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide a global understanding of the outdoor market, and be able to place STS in a global context, that while considering regional particularities, does not preference regional demand over a global perspective
- Provide a consistency of global messaging to retail staff, DB sales staff and subsidiary employees in all capacities
- Ensure that STS has a consistency of approach with customer service, no matter which market a consumer might be based
- Condense complicated product features into easily digestible product snapshots
- Create cheat sheets/sell sheets for product to help both internal and external stakeholders to better understand the product message
- Provide in-person training for internal and external stakeholders globally. (Including customer service as well as sales staff)
- Provide technical assistance to any stakeholder on product features and benefits
- Support the Global Marketing Team to provide consumer facing materials that provide an outward facing message that is easily understood
- Vet product development and marketing to ensure that we are meeting our own expectations about messaging.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve messaging

**Experience and Key Personal Qualities**
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the outdoor industry (sales and customer facing roles)
- Proven experience with outdoor products performance and safety
- Ability to create extensive content for customer-facing websites and retailer-focused workbook and training materials
- Experience in training team members on product, benefits and warranty resolution
- Experience in developing media contacts in support of Marketing and providing technical product support to contracted PR agency
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
- Ability to assist internal and external stakeholders with technical questions on outdoor products
- Ability to analyse the market and identifying opportunity to expand the business
- Ability to coordinate and attend Tradeshows

**Education**

Bachelor Degree or equivalent relevant experience

**Salary**: $74,768.76 - $153,394.29 per year
