**The Opportunity**

As a Product Designer (Design System) you will be responsible for designing, providing UI specifications, defining usage and interaction documentation for Bupa’s digital design system. As part of the Design System team, you will help build, enhance, and optimise digital componentry that will support digital delivery of customer-facing web and app experiences across Bupa APAC.

You will:

- Design, define and maintain our design system and Figma libraries
- Ensure a cohesive and consistent digital experience across design system patterns and components
- Develop UI guidelines and documentation that supports and prescribes use of design system components for digital delivery teams, simple but thorough on the how and why
- Define and document usability and accessibility standards, and ensure best practice are considered and applied throughout the design process
- Help to manage continuous evolution and improvement of our design system to scale across products, services and platforms
- Ensure solutions work within the border design community and create optimal value for customers and our internal teams
- Work closely with front-end development colleagues throughout the design and development process. translate design solutions into code implementation and ensure optimal simplicity, performance, and quality
- Leverage analytics and qualitative insights to help improve performance and customer outcomes delivered via the design system

You will:

- Have significant exposure to working and collaborating with other designers and front-end development teams
- Have experience working within an Agile environment

**What You’ll Bring**

To be considered for this role you will have:

- Be a systems thinker who enjoys working on complex problems and scaling solutions into a cohesive and consistent design system. You can see how all the parts fit together, and how a small change can propagate throughout the system.
- Have at least 1+ years’ experience working in Design Systems
- Hold 3+ years of web and native (iOS/Android) platform digital design or related design experience
- Extensive knowledge of accessibility, standards and best practice for responsive web design and mobile native, contemporary UI patterns, and usability best practices
- Expert working knowledge and practical experience using Figma, building complex component libraries and the willingness to adopt new tools as needed
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate design rationale, document design decisions for a broad audience of stakeholders
- Have exceptional typesetting, design and layout skills
- Demonstrated customer-centric mindset, building a user experience with the customer in mind at every step of the journey
