**Head of Urban**
**Development **with exceptional leadership aptitude to join the business.
Your primary goal is simple - You will support the development and growth of the Urban Development Division by leading the team of 8, ensuring excellence across all technical, commercial and construction matters associated with the delivery of high-quality project outcomes You will also be supported by a group of qualified managers from the Design and Delivery teams.
Reporting to the General manager, and playing a Senior Role in the business, you will lead the Urban Development Team, manage budgets, resources, and provide support to all staff in order to be responsible for successful project delivery against time, scope and budget in the booming residential land development sector across Sydney.
You will play a role in the Senior Leadership team, promoting the culture, vision, goals and ethos amongst teams across all disciplines.
You will ply your trade to be trusted with:
- Being an engaged and active member of the businesses Senior Management Team
- Driving tasks to achieve the business vision, setting clearly defined goals and active involvement in the growth of the business
- Being responsible for the establishment and leadership of a team that is able to secure, plan, design and deliver high quality projects within the residential development sector
- Business development and demonstrative leadership in relation to growth and conversion of future opportunities
- Preparation of fee proposals for new projects and contract variations that may span multiple disciplines both within and external
- Ensuring your team is planning, executing, and closing out of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget across the full project life cycle
- Ensure budget, resource and other business forecasts are prepared so the onflow forecasting can be defined
- Acquisition of resources, coordinating team members, third-party contractors and consultants to deliver projects according to plan
- Provide leadership to your managers to ensure team members meet or exceed project objectives
- In conjunction with your managers, complete professional development planning and reviews to encourage open discussion

You are an exceptional communicator, collaborative and are a natural problem solver Your excellent leadership and negotiation skills will go hand and hand with your extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques.
Understanding client drivers and expectations and communicating these to your teams to drive successful client experiences will be a key asset as you work towards successful solution outcomes.
You will have a strong background in Civil Engineering and Urban Development in NSW and have:
- 10 + Industry experience
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- CPEng
- Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques
- Experience using MS office and MS Project
