Our client is a leading research organisation located in Bundoora

**The Technical Assistant's role**

Support the research team with field and laboratory activities where results are critical for the delivery of research outcomes across a broad range of projects.

Assist with seasonal tasks associated with establishment and maintenance of glasshouse and field experiments at a range of sites in regional Victoria. Operate equipment related to field and laboratory research experiments.

Support the management and maintenance of field sites and collection and processing of soil and plant samples in the field and/or in the laboratory. Ensure accurate record keeping and data entry as directed (both paper and computer based).

**What you'll need to succeed**

Good practical skills involving the operation of specialised equipment to sow, maintain and harvest experimental field sites,

Attention to detail is fundamental for the accurate and timely collection, collation and manipulation of data from experiments.

Good literacy skills and ability to follow instructions (verbal and written).

Punctuality and good administrative skills

Basic computing skills, particularly Microsoft Excel

Current driving licence.
