Headquartered in Nowra, New South Wales, QinetiQ Air Affairs, part of QinetiQ’s Threat Representation business unit, provides targets and training services, and electronic warfare capabilities to the Australian Defence Force, in addition to aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of government firefighting efforts. Air Affairs owns and operates a fleet of special mission aircraft and maintains an advanced manufacturing and engineering facility providing design, manufacture and certification operations.
We are currently looking for a Technical Document / Aviation Records Officer to join our team in Nowra.
As a technical documentation specialist you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of aircraft meet airworthiness regulations by ensuring our aircraft data is kept up to date. You will liaise with teams across the business, from aircraft maintenance engineers, to pilots and schedulers to ensure our aircraft meet strict maintenance schedules.
As the Aviation Records Officer your day to day role will see you;
Collecting and entering information such as engineering orders, drawings flight and maintenance logs and engineering data.
Liaising with team members across the business to gather information and check entries.
Maintain the aviation management tool, Aerotrack.
Liaise with external suppliers and maintenance organisations to ensure records are complete and up to date.
What you will bring;
Experience in a technical records, parts or technical catalogue role or similar.
A willingness to learn, as all training will be provided but experience with records databases will be a distinct advantage.
An attention to detail as you will be responsible for checking and entering both written and printed information.
The ability to communicate across different business areas and teams.
An interest in the aviation industry or previous experience in a similar role.
What you need to know;
This is a permanent full time position but with some flexibly, including the potential for a 4 day week or half day Friday.
Previous experience in the Aerospace / Aviation industry will be appreciated but it is not essential, it is your attention to detail and willingness to learn that will earn you this role.
This position is based in Nowra and you will need to be available to be onsite.
You need to be an Australian Citizen and willing to gain a Baseline Security Clearance.
