The role:
The Renewal Specialist is a deeply customer centric position that serves a critical role in the local Software and Cloud team. Our Renewal Specialists partner and collaborate across the organization with Account Managers, Software and Cloud Consultants, Finance, Legal and our Global Service Delivery team to drive customer retention and contract renewals. This role is accountable for developing renewal strategies for our ANZ Software and Cloud opportunties, maintaining high renewal rates, growing contract renewal size by seeking opportunities to bring more value to our customers and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in our contracting process. As a Renewal Specialist you will be exposed to SoftwareONE’s suite of offerings and services and be responsible for facilitating contract renewals to ensure customers are set up for success.
- Create and maintain a relationship with a large customer base to ensure each customer is successful and communicate every challenge into the wider business.
- Partner with Sales as well as the Global Service Delivery teams to fully understand and develop a clear renewal strategy for each customer based on data driven decisions
- Maximize account growth opportunities by playing a collaborative role on the account team and helping to drive incremental opportunities upon contract renewal. Own, drive and manage the renewals process in collaboration with the account team.
- Identify customer requirements, uncover roadblocks, and demonstrate strong account management and commercial capabilities to drive renewal to on-time closure.
- Provide executive management with complete visibility to renewals and solicit executive involvement as required.
- Accurately maintain/update a rolling 180 day forecast of renewals in your territory and ensuring any uncovered risk is clearly communicated to develop resolution strategies.
- Engage in strategic account planning with key stakeholders at a management level to ensure accountability across teams.
- Clearly understand all service offering, subscription, and renewal licensing models

What we need to see from you:
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Demonstrated success in a Sales, Renewals, or Account Management capacity with a strong focus on negotiating transactions and resolving contractual issues.
- Previous experience with Contract Renewal or Renewal Management.
- Strong process management and adherence to policy
- Strong customer management skills, including soft skills. Ability to demonstrate a strategic mindset to enable persuasive conversations with customers
- Ability to react and adapt to potential rapid shifts in priorities and organizational policies
- Willingness and desire to take on additional tasks or pilot projects that are beneficial to the department or to the organization

**Languages**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
