**About our role**:
The Payroll Implementation & Compliance Specialist is a 12-month fixed-term position which will play a key role in the successful implementation of new HRIS and workforce management systems. This role’s primary focus will be contributing to the payroll system and process improvements, ensuring legislative compliance and supporting the successful delivery of payroll related projects. This role will combine specialist payroll expertise with project delivery skills, ensuring both BAU payroll activities and key project milestones are met to high standard.
**Responsibilities include**:
System Process Improvements
- Lead user acceptance testing, data migration and user training for the HRIS implementation.
- Participate in system design, configuration and testing to ensure payroll compliance and accuracy for the implementation of the time and attendance system.
- Recommend enhancements to workflows and automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure new processes and systems embed compliance.
Compliance
- Support the development of improved governance, controls, and reporting frameworks.
- Work with stakeholders to identify and resolve system or process gaps impacting
BAU Payroll Support
- Assist in data validation, reporting, and reconciliation tasks to support ongoing payroll accuracy.
- Contribute to BAU payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with legislation, awards, Lactalis enterprise agreements and Lactalis policies
**About you**:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in Payroll, HR, or Industrial Relations.
- end-to-end payroll processing expertise, recent involvement in payroll system implementation or integration projects, and a strong understanding of Australian industrial relations, including modern awards, enterprise agreements, taxation, and superannuation legislation.
- a Diploma in Payroll, HR, or Law is preferred, though equivalent industry experience is acceptable.
- proficiency in SAP and SuccessFactors is highly regarded, along with demonstrated capabilities in user acceptance testing (UAT), data migration validation, and payroll reporting.
