**Your Opportunity**

You'll join a growing business based in the CBD and enjoy a 9-day fortnight as well as WFH in a position that will provide you with a huge amount of autonomy.

It's also an opportunity for you to develop the payroll function in your image and you'll be given an opportunity to create and develop on existing processes. There is also a planned system implementation of which your input will be crucial to seeing the payroll function succeed.

As the Payroll Officer, you will take complete responsibility of payroll and related activities of the payroll function. You'll do this by providing reliable, accurate and timely processing of transactional pay related activities in accordance with the policies, procedures and relevant industrial awards and agreements that are in place.

You will take the lead with:

- End to end payroll function for the business and affiliated entities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for payroll.
- Support the preparation of annual operating budgets.
- Prepare Payroll Tax, BAS and FBT returns.
- Work closely with the operations team at the mine site to ensure strong communication and timely responses to business needs.
- Prepare balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
- Implement process improvement and new opportunities.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive continual Improvement.
- Award Interpretation

**You & Your Experience**:
We're looking for someone highly capable and willing to take responsibility for the function. We need you to have at least 3 years' experience performing in Payroll.
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
- Experience of dealing with rosters is highly desirable.
- Confident with Excel
- Be a confident and articulate communicator.
- Ability to prioritise your workload.
