- About the role_

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer for our Head Office based at Burleigh Heads. This role will work as a liaison between the company and its stakeholders to ensure the purchasing requirements across projects and maintenance are acquired in line with project take offs and budgets.

This role will also manage the end to end purchasing process, from raising POs through to meeting delivery timeframes in line with project requirements. Duties also include but are not limited to:

- All administration requirements across purchasing
- First point of contact for all purchasing requirements and queries
- Work alongside the Estimating, projects and scheduling teams to assist with the procurement of all materials and product requirements
- Maintain and further develop supplier relationships and identify opportunities, negotiating supplier pricing
- Implement processes and assist with all goods received and dispatched
- Ensure all materials are ordered and delivered on site and within required timeframes
- Stock control for our national fleet of vehicles
- Selection Criteria: _
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within a similar role in a fast paced/ high volume environment
- Past trade experience is looked upon favourably
- Strong knowledge of construction to be able to raise questions and provide advice across POs and general enquiries
- Strong negotiating skills
- Highly developed communication and Interpersonal skills with a positive phone manner - High volume of calls and queries
- Highly Proficient with the use of computers and standard office programs
- Team player that can also work autonomously
- Be willing to undergo a Police Check and in line with clients condition of entry requirements hold/be willing to obtain a Working with Children Card and current Covid vaccination
