Our ideal applicant will: - Hold a valid Queensland Driver Licence - Hold a valid Queensland White Card - Have previously obtained a Certificate II in Automotive (strong advantage) - Have the ability to use initiative within the workplace - Have strong communication and interpersonal skills - Have high attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills - Be extremely reliable and punctual - Be motivated and able to handle a fast paced environment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test. **About the Apprenticeship**: As a **Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31120)** apprentice, your typical duties will include but not limited to - Troubleshooting and carrying out diagnosis procedures - Discussing problems with vehicle drivers to discover faults - General workshop duties - repair and service cooling systems, diesel fuel systems, air conditioning, engine forced induction systems and clutch assemblies - overhaul, repair and service engines, manual and automatic transmissions, air braking systems and final drive assemblies and repair and service steering and suspension systems - Preparing relevant documentation. - Use of specialised equipment and tools.
