Overview:
The Business Automation Development Lead makes a significant contribution to Public Health Division information systems and knowledge management to support monitoring of, and response to, matters of public health importance, and to meet the business requirements and strategic directions of the Division through:

- planning, coordinating and providing hands-on delivery for new business process automation solutions and maintenance tasks
- identifying and facilitating changes and enhancements
- providing expert advice, training, and coaching to other team members, including review of changes and risk assessments for process automation solutions ensuring alignment with policies and standards
- providing expert advice and proactively informing discussion, debate and decision making on information and business systems and knowledge management
- designing, supporting and implementing electronic messaging system to enable integration of system generated laboratory results from pathology providers into the core system
- liaising with pathology providers to ensure a continual improvement process for the timely and accurate delivery of electronic notifications
- understanding the branch’s business and making continuous improvement to the way in which data / information is managed.

The Business Automation Development Lead will also, when required, provide technology related project management, support and advisory services across the Public Health Division.

**Criminal History Screening Requirement**
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
- A DHS ‘Working With Children Check’ (WWCC) is required for this position

**Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (mínimal patient contact)**

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

**Special Conditions**
- Some out of hours work will be required.
- The incumbent may be required to participate in special projects as required.
- The incumbent will uphold the values of the Department of Health as reflected in the Strategic Plan.
