**The Role**
Specialist Ships branch, within Defence’s Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), is seeking a professional and motivated Configuration Officer to provide ongoing support to the Commonwealth Governments continuous naval shipbuilding projects.

As Configuration Officer, you will be providing configuration and CDRL management, administrative and coordination functions to support a critical maritime Project. Under limited direction, you will be required to perform and achieve moderately complex procedural, operational, configuration and administrative work within an integrated environment.

We are responsible for the acquisition of complex maritime capability and delivery of Specialist and Minor War Vessels to the Navy.

Specialist Ships is seeking applicants with knowledge of Configuration functions within a technical project who have an interest in producing high quality work and seek to continually improve and broaden their skills.

Key attributes and experience we are looking for:

- Experience managing technical reports, documents and engineering proposals.
- Demonstrated experience in workflow management, including the management of group mailboxes, coordination and management of workflow tasks and preparation and coordination of commercial correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment and achieve shared objectives including the management of staff.
- Demonstrated ability to establish clear plans and timeframes and be able to respond positively to change and uncertainty.
- An innovative and adaptive thinker, who will take accountability while taking a risk based and flexible approach to delivering outcomes.
- A confident communicator, who is collaborative, agile and can effectively manage within an integrated team environment.
