The Role
WAAPA is seeking a Production Manager to work closely with the ECU City Campus team and WAAPA City Campus team, Academic and Professional staff to transition all teaching, performance and research operations from Mount Lawley to the City Campus.
You will be an excellent communicator, capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be highly organised, comfortable with working to tight deadlines. You will also enjoy using your highly developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and devise mutually beneficial solutions.
Key Criteria
To be successful in this role you will have experience managing complex projects. While not essential, experience with large scale Performing Arts project management is highly desirable. You will be able to demonstrate:
The capability to undertake complex project management across the full life cycle from identification to completion, preferably with experience in project management.
Highly developed relationship building and negotiation skills, including expertise in written and oral communication, preferably with direct experience in enabling diverse stakeholders to work together to achieve change.
The ability to act with high levels of autonomy, initiative, adaptability, and with attention to detail.
Experience in supporting live theatre productions and/or music performances, including broad technical skills adaptable to different performing arts scenarios.
Understanding of change management related to the implementation of technology solutions.
A good understanding of the unique operational and technical challenges presented by performing arts in an educational context.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence and Courage.
Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed-term position attracts remuneration of $100,512 to $112,622 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
