Canberra, Australia The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) Full time

Classification: Executive Level 1
- Location: Canberra
- Salary: $118,549 - $144,065 plus service allowance

The National Anti-Corruption Commission

The National Anti-Corruption Commission enhances integrity in the Commonwealth public sector by deterring, detecting and preventing corrupt conduct involving Commonwealth public officials. It does this through education, monitoring, investigation, reporting and referral.

Working with us

This is an exciting time to join the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). In its establishment phase, we are looking for outstanding individuals to embed robust systems and processes, deliver exciting and diverse projects and demonstrate innovation and commitment to integrity in the public service.

NACC staff work in a complex and dynamic setting where exceptional judgement and an ability to achieve results is critical.

About this opportunity

The NACC has a Branch Coordinator position available for immediate filling in Canberra. A merit list will be established to fill vacancies arising in the next 18 months.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, Media, Communications, Corruption Prevention and Education (MCCPE), the Branch Coordinator will be a central point of contact for the MCCPE Branch.

You will play a critical coordination role in delivering the Australian Public Sector Anti-Corruption Conference (APSACC) 2026 which will be hosted by the NACC in Canberra in September 2026. You will be the NACC’s centralised contact point for the professional conference organiser, the venue, and other agencies who will contribute to the planning of the conference.

Your success will be characterised by your ability to provide high quality executive and administrative support in a confidential and sensitive environment.

**Key activities**
- Manage the coordination and settlement of briefing materials between MCCPE and other branches across the NACC to ensure the Commissioner and other statutory office holders are well supported for all engagements.
- Manage or coordinate detailed or sensitive projects such as the delivery of APSACC2026 and other similar events. You will take responsibility for seeing this and similar projects through to completion, monitoring progress, adjusting plans and resources as required, committing to achieving high quality results, and seeking and responding to feedback.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the work programmes across each Directorate and coordinate multi-Directorate responses on behalf of the Branch. In doing this you will demonstrate leadership by encouraging new ideas and innovation, engaging positively with planning and decision-making within and beyond our work area.
- Review draft reports, briefing papers, speeches and discussion papers for presentation to senior staff and external partners.
Build and sustain strong, positive and constructive relationships with all stakeholders. This will include with the NACC’s statutory office holders and other senior officials at Commonwealth jurisdictional agencies and State and Territory Integrity agencies.
- Manage competing priorities and organise workflow for self and others while providing detailed and accurate updates on project timelines and milestones and ensuring deadlines are met across the Branch.
- Establish, maintain and review processes and procedures to ensure ongoing efficiency and effectiveness with a focus on continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for better practice and process improvement across the Branch.

The NACC is a small agency. In addition to these activities, from time to time you may be asked to undertake tasks that are outside your usual span of duties but that are within the range of your capabilities. Supporting one another in this way provides opportunities for exposure across the agency and is an integral part of the NACC’s positive workplace culture.
