Our Federal Government client is seeking an
**EL1 Adviser** who has the ability to contribute to a positive team environment.

**About the role**:
A Government Policy Branch is seeking an adviser to support the development of policies and programs and undertake gender impact assessments to uplift women’s workforce participation and economic equality, close the gender pay and retirement income gap, and give women more choice and flexibility around work and care.

In this role you will collaborate closely with agencies and other areas of the department on highly visible work. You will work closely with other central agencies to build support, shape and prioritise significant policy proposals, including new spending proposals, to implement the Government’s agenda.

**Ideally, you will have**:

- A strong interest in and passion for gender equality and improving outcomes for women in Australia,
- Good strategic judgement and critical thinking skills, and experience providing advice to ministers, senior executives or senior management,
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and an ability to communicate complex concepts succinctly,
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams with different skillsets and views,
- Initiative, resilience, and ability to manage competing and changing priorities
