**Your new company**
T his Government Agency is working to assist communities in times of disaster while also proofing Australia against future emergencies. Currently they have a need for high performing EL1 program officers to support the delivery high priority programs and policies.

**Your new role**
The branch is seeking experienced and driven program managers to fill vacancies leading various programs and portfolios within the team. Performing various secretariat functions within the National Governance and Projects Coordination section.
- Be driven by and committed to delivering improved outcomes Agency-wide.
- Have strong influencing and negotiation skills, and be able to develop effective relationships with a range of stakeholders including but not limited to charities, community groups, state and territory governments, councils and industry.
- Show initiative, sound judgement, integrity and personal drive.
- Be collegiate, inclusive and build productive relationships, and be able to lead a small high-performing team.
- Work effectively under pressure and in a changing environment to deliver high quality advice and outcomes.
- Have exceptional communication skills, including ability to brief senior executives and ministers within short timeframes.
- Have a sound understanding of disaster and climate management, and the issues facing Australia.
- Have demonstrated program, project and/or contract management skills and expertise.
- Have secretariat experience for ministerial and senior officials committees.

**What you'll need to succeed**
You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (Baseline) personnel security clearance.
