Hays is currently partnered with an independent statutory agency that is responsible for supporting a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.

They currently have a vacancy for an **APS5 Executive & Corporate Communications Officer** to join their team in a **12-month temporary role** - Geelong location.

**Your new role**

The Executive and Corporate Communications team provides strategic advice, support and content development for CEO and members of the Executive Leadership Team to support their internal and external communication and engagement activity.

Through effective management and ongoing improvement of the Agency’s corporate communication channels, the team also supports the delivery of a quality Scheme by ensuring the Agency’s staff and partners are informed and participants, providers, and the broader sector receive up-to-date information.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Contributing to the development and production of communications materials, in consultation with internal stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing communication activities to ensure employees have access to information delivered across a variety of channels.
- Ensuring all communication materials are accessible and align with the Organisation’s style and brand guidelines.
- Producing content for use across a variety of internal and external channels including newsletters, intranet, website and talking points for staff and partners, and assisting in the delivery of content.
- Managing correspondence through team inboxes, including actioning requests or triaging requests to relevant team members for action.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Minimum of 1-2 years in a communications-based role.
- Experience in editing and content writing.
- Demonstrated experience in developing communication strategies.
- Experience working with a diverse range of people.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Previous experience in public service / government (highly desirable)

This role offers you an attractive rate of $55.24 p/h plus Super, full-time hours and an initial 12-month placement with the possibility of an extension.
