Monash Health is excited to announce three new positions for Manual Handling Co-ordinators. These are exciting new roles in the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team, to deliver a risk management and training program aimed at reducing Musculo skeletal risk.
You will be a safety and training specialist responsible for:
- Delivering the Monash Health Manual Handling program in consultation with the Nursing Education Program, and stakeholders from all work groups such as Allied Health, Support Services etc.
- Develop and deliver the Manual Handling risk management strategy, in liaison with key stakeholders to reduce manual handling risk.

The key result areas of the role include:
The Manual Handling Co-ordinator is a safety and training specialist responsible for:
- Developing and delivering a Manual Handling Education Program
- Inspiring and upskilling our people to employ best practice safe manual handling techniques for a broad range of clinical and non-clinical work practices
- Support implementation of the manual handling risk reduction strategy to provide a systematic approach to minimising manual handling risk.
- Support managers to problem solve and implement improvement solutions, including appropriate equipment selection and best practice safe work practices.
- This is a full-time ongoing role, working across the organisation as required.
**About You**:
- You are an accomplished Safety professional with experience in human movement and manual handling risk reduction. You have experience in developing and delivering training programs, with demonstrated ability to lead and manage change initiatives across multiple sites and multiple disciplines.
- You lead by example, thrive working in a fast-paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a strategy to reduce Musculo skeletal risk across the organisation. You are ready to be part of a truly dynamic Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team at Monash Health. You are also an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles.
**What You Need**:
- Qualifications in Occupational Health Safety or related
- Training certificate qualifications
- Clinical or Allied Health experience a benefit but not essential
- Australian working rights
- Working with Children Check
- Police Check
