**About the team**:
Coles Express makes people’s lives easier. Whether our customers are filling up with fuel, grabbing a snack-to-go or dropping by for essentials, our team is there when and where Aussies need us.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the General Manager, Operations this role will lead and manage an evolving function, providing direction and support for all site functions and effectively balancing corporate and functional strategies to ensure Coles Express delivers improved services and return on investment.

On a day-to day basis you work collaboratively and act as an intermediary between store support centre and sites, evaluating the impact, deployment and ROI of initiatives at site level.

You’ll also:

- Be accountable for personal and team compliance with internal company policies and procedures
- Drive the management and coordination of all site communications
- Coordinate feedback on all operational issues to facilitate continuous improvement
- Motivate, coach and lead the team to be high performing and achieve goals through regular one on one meetings and formal career planning sessions
- Coordinate all activity from the store support centre to sites via the activity planner
- Manage the internal audit program and internal compliance checking program
- Manage business plans from idea through to deployment

**About you and your skills**:
We’re looking for a passionate leader with large multi-site operational experience as well as previous project management experience in leading national programs.

You’ll also have:

- Significant experience in a senior store operations leadership position
- Extensive knowledge and experience of analysing and improving site processes
- Cross functional understanding and vision
- The ability to deal with constant change and manage associated communication with stakeholders and customers
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels including external stakeholder and relevant authorities
- To be technologically savvy with an aim to continually improve through investment and adoption the best practices, policies, and technology
