**The role**

We are looking for a Trainee Importation Administration Assistant to join the team at our thriving Thornleigh business.

Working closely with our existing operations team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in purchasing and negotiating, forex contracts, shipping and logistics support.

This role will have the opportunity to eventually take ownership of specific categories across the entire business with a mix of product exposure, as well as traded commodities & intensive exposure to direct importation and global freight.

**Specific responsibilities**:

- Assisting in the preparation of reports
- Liaising with functional supports in Fx and shipping
- Executing purchase orders and hedging
- Liaising with external shipping lines
- Maintaining integrity across the internal database of Import Trade Purchase Orders
- Resolving invoice discrepancies
- Assisting with company communication and executing weekly updates for internal stakeholders
- Researching range and sales data to facilitate the Operations and Sales Managers’ decisions

Based out of Thornleigh, this is a permanent role with full time hours - Monday to Friday.
