***Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $149,739 - $173,174 + super**-
- **About the role**- The Manager, Policy and Governance is a key leadership role driving data-informed policy and governance to support disaster risk management and government commitments. You’ll lead a high-performing team to deliver strategic insights and robust project management across complex programs. This role blends analytical rigour with stakeholder engagement, ensuring programs are impactful and aligned with agency objectives.Lead the project management processes for Northern Rivers Adaptation Division programs including monitoring and reporting against project plans, budgets and risk registers.-
- Implement and maintain reporting tools (e.g., dashboards) to monitor and report on policy and program performance to drive delivery and identify risks and mitigation strategies.-
- Oversee the preparation of reports, meeting presentations, briefs and correspondence to support stakeholder engagement, inform or respond to agency and/or government requests.-
- Manage complex and sensitive consultations on project management office matters with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines.-
- **About You**- You have proven experience in leading teams focused on governance within a government or disaster risk context. Your strong project management skills, including reporting, budgeting, and risk management, will be key to your success.Strong written communication skills for preparing briefs, reports, and correspondence for senior leadership and government.-
- Ability to manage complex, sensitive issues and competing priorities under tight deadlines.-
- Problem-solving capabilities to deliver evidence-based advice and solutions.-
- Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team in a high-pressure environment.Demonstrated experience managing a Project Management Office and /or strategic projects and/or contributing to strategic analysis and project management functions.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier’s Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.- To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
