About the Opportunity

The OADG IDO provides strategic and operational support to the ADG. The OADG seek innovative and workable solutions for infrastructure related priorities. This is highlighted through ongoing support to key stakeholders, maintenance of departmental facilities, and the delivery of new projects and regional initiatives.

About the Role

As the Principal Advisor you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
Consulting with departmental officers and briefing the ADG both verbally and in writing, on emergent and critical issues that may require sensitive management or immediate attention.
Ensuring high level quality assurance and critical analysis of media, correspondence, briefings and submissions in order to ensure accuracy in both content and presentation, and alignment with relevant legislation and policies.
Engaging in policy analysis and prepare associated briefs, reports and submissions on specific issues as required by the Assistant Director-General.
Fulfilling Human Resources requirements of the role.
The role requires you to investigate and analyse issues, lead and influence others, use your ability to communicate complex concepts and make informed customer-led recommendations to senior and executive management.
