**About the role**
Sportsbet’s Compliance & Process Optimisation Function is centralised capability that accelerates the confidence of the Customer, Sustainability & People Leadership Team in the performance and scalability of our processes and systems (controls) that are relied on to meet our regulatory obligations and continuously drives (implements) efficiencies and scale in our Department as our environment evolves and changes.
This uniquely positioned function not only works through the Department to diagnose and assess the performance of the suite of controls to meet its regulatory obligations, but drives and implements fixes to issues and gaps identified.
The Compliance & Process Optimisation Specialist is accountable for:
- Delivering a “line 1” assurance program of work assessing and formulating opinion (i.e. controls testing) over the health and performance of our controls to meet the relevant regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. AML/CTF, NTRC, Responsible Gambling, Privacy, HR and Industrial Relations)
- Identifying, designing and implementing business process and system optimisation to ensure the Function is performing at peak today and prepared to accommodate future growth
- Supporting the design and implementation of solutions to meet regulatory changes, internal and external audit findings and compliance incidents.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, maintain and operationalise the Customer & People Compliance Plan articulating the Function’s regulatory compliance obligations (e.g. AML/CTF, NTRC, Responsible Gambling, Privacy, HR and Industrial Relations) in plain-English and critical control environment in place to prevent and/or detect breaches
- Collaborate with the C&P Leadership Team and Heads Of to design, fine tune and optimise the control environment to prevent and/or detect breaches
- Coordinate compliance incidents and breaches that have occurred within the function and collaborate with Risk & Compliance and/or Legal on the management and response to those incidents and breaches
- Design and implement improvements to processes, systems and the way vendors or third parties are managed in accordance with prioritisation roadmap
- Collaborate with adjacent functions the define and articulate changes to regulatory obligations impacting CSP;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess the impacts of regulatory change and design and implement solutions to meet those changes and/or coordinate feedback back to Legal and External Affairs regarding points of contention
- Review and sign off the final solution designs to ensure they meet the respective regulatory changes and relevant existing regulatory obligations
- Execute and/or coordinate testing of the solution prior to implementation to ensure the solution as developed meets the regulatory changes
- Coordinate the entry and exit of relevant internal audits impacting CSP including the drafting of management comments and actions to ensure they are delivered at pace, while operationally and technically feasible
**About You**
- Domain experience in one or more of AML, Privacy, Employee Relations / Industrial Relations and Customer Communications Law and Policy
- Proven experience in driving and delivering performance optimization and improvement across processes, systems and vendors
- Proven experience in making customer centric and risk-based decisions from performance indicators and data
- A demonstrable track record working in high profiled industries
- Proven experience building scaled, sustainable, technology enabled strategies through period of intense growth and driving these to delivery
- Change management experience including designing; building and growing teams and shaping culture
