**About the role**
At Sportsbet, we’re on a mission to become a world-class betting and wagering business—trusted by customers, partners, and all our stakeholders. We’re seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our TSCO Risk & Compliance team as a Risk & Compliance Specialist. TSCO stands for ‘Transformation, Sustainability & Customer Operations’ and is where our customer and strategy teams are. In this role, you will perform Risk & Compliance activities over topics that include Financial Crime, Customer Fraud, Payments, KYC and Privacy.
As a Risk & Compliance Specialist, you will:
- Shape a Winning Culture - Collaborate across teams to build and maintain strong control environments, effectively managing risks and compliance obligations that foster trust and transparency for customers, colleagues, and partners.
- Build a World-Class Approach - Ensure alignment with the robust policies and frameworks of Flutter Entertainment Group, a leading NYSE-listed company, setting the standard for excellence in risk and compliance management.
**Key responsibilities**
- Building and maintaining strong relationships within the team and across the business, acting as a trusted advisor on risk mitigation, compliance, and control design.
- Actively contributing to the development and execution of risk and compliance strategies.
- Managing regulatory obligations and identifying, assessing, and documenting operational risks.
- Designing, testing, and reporting on effective controls, and ensuring timely follow-up on management actions.
- Monitoring compliance training and supporting audit preparations to maintain strong assurance standards.
- Managing risk-related incidents as they arise.
- Leveraging data analytics to extract insights and inform decision-making.
**About you**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of management and produce clear, impactful reports and presentations.
- Excellent time management and self-organisation, taking full ownership of projects, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Highly motivated and proactive, capable of working independently with mínimal supervision.
- Solid analytical and technical expertise in risk and compliance.
- Skilled at identifying issues and associated risks, offering practical and effective solutions.
- Deep understanding of the complex regulatory environment within the gambling sector.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships.
- Competent in analysing data and extracting meaningful insights to support decision-making.
