A rare opportunity to join a business leader in their respective field as they have had an opening for a full time (5 days) or part time (4 days) per week Payroll & Accounts Officer on a permanent basis. They operate within a highly productive, hard working & friendly team and are seeking a like minded individual to join them.
**The role**:
- End to end payroll for all staff
- Managing and completing the accurate & timely payment of payroll taxes
- Managing the payment of bonuses to staff
- Producing timely and accurate people information reports regarding employees as required
- Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date Fixed Assets register
- Ensuring physical assets are properly recorded and depreciated at correct rates
- End to end Accounts Payable
- Authorising payments to suppliers following company guidelines, and make payments in a timely manner
- Reconciling Accounts Payable ledger with supplier statements at month end
- Ensuring monthly and prompt creditors cheques are run on time
- Preparing manual Accounts Receivable invoices
- Maintaining schedule of debtors, including customer complaints
- Managing and reconciling petty cash
- Bank reconciliations
- Ensuring all payments received are receipted against the appropriate debtors account
**To be be considered for this role**:
- You must have at least 2-3 years experience in a similar previous role
- Have well developed interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills
- A tertiary degree in Accounting/Commerce/Finance
- Understand Payroll & Payroll legislation/EBAs/Awards
- Confident with financial transactions that are complex and require accuracy
- Ability to manage and process payroll and salary transactions with accuracy
- Decisive and self starting with the energy and motivation to be effective in a very demanding environment.
