**About the Role**

Black Star Pastry has a need for an experienced Store Supervisor to work closely with the Store Manager across all areas of our beautiful CBD store, including overseeing employee performance and most importantly the customer experience.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering stability and a salary of
- **$68,750 + Superannuation = $76,312 total salary package.**

Full training will be provided.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Supervise and train front of house employees providing feedback as required, as well as providing ongoing coaching in their roles.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all menu list items, in order to be able to accurately advise customers.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of all food and beverage prices.
- Confidently make food and beverage recommendations to customers.
- Responsible for pre-service preparation.
- Ensure that the quality and presentation of food is served to the set standards.
- Be familiar with food and beverage service etiquette, serving all food and beverage in a professional manner.
- Provide all customers with efficient and friendly service, fulfilling customer needs and ensuring standard of service is always maintained.

**About You**
- 2-3 years’ leadership experience in hospitality or retail
- A talent for mentoring others - you love to lead by example
- Passionate about the customer experience and product quality
- Ability to connect with customers and provide an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated capability to multi-task - your organizational skills will be a strength
- Motivated and positive team player
- Strong communication skills
- Authentic and down to earth with a genuine love of people
- Barista experience will be helpful
- Love of cake a bonus

Black Star Pastry opened its first boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and since then we have grown into an institution with stores across Sydney and Melbourne including our flagship store at Chadstone.

We are most famous for our Strawberry Watermelon Cake which has become a social media sensation, with the New York Times declaring it “the world’s most instagrammed cake.”
