We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Patient Support Services Assistant - Tech Suites (Operating Theatres) to join our dynamic team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in enhancing patient care and ensuring smooth service delivery within the hospital's technical suites. **This is a full-time role working**Monday - Friday 0700-1500**

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide assistance with patient movement, ensuring safety checks on equipment and complying with hospital procedures for transfers and repositioning.
- Support housekeeping tasks by maintaining cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas, replenishing consumables, and ensuring tidy and safe environments.
- Transport equipment, case carts, and consumables between clinical areas and ensure all items are handled and stored according to infection control guidelines.
- Assist clinical staff with specific duties, such as packing and transporting soiled instruments, and ensuring the cleaning of patient equipment like shower and commode chairs.
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines, participate in Zero Harm initiatives, and report any hazards or incidents to maintain a safe working environment.

**About you**

Skills and Experience:

- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment or patient support service is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and engage with patients and clinical staff.
- A positive, flexible approach to work, with a willingness to embrace change and take on new tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a high standard of personal appearance, including a clean and tidy uniform, and adhering to safety protocols.
