
Program Delivery Manager

**The primary objectives of the position are**:
- Lead the team to build and successfully operationalise technology solutions and projects that meet customer needs and strategy objectives, while ensuring that for each project and the overall program there is appropriate planning and project governance and monitoring, the resource and cost plan is managed and the delivery plan is adjusted as required.
- Contribute to whole of the service area leadership and engage collaboratively across the IT Services area, contributing directly to the whole of service area outcomes, a seamless customer experience and ensuring there is development of service area and team capability (people, processes and systems) for delivery and a positive culture is built.
**Duties and responsibilities of the position include**:
- Lead the development of an annual program plan to execute the IT program of work ensuring risks are managed, resources required are determined in advance, operational constraints are considered, and customers are ready for the change.
- Lead the development, monitoring and review of systems, processes and governance for the project lifecycle providing fit for purpose engagement of customers and stakeholders in the solution development and delivery process, ensuring business requirements are clear, business owners are informed and engaged to support decision making, change management and training is adequate and benefits are realised. This includes developing and documenting key project governance requirements and promulgating and embedding these requirements across the IT Services team and the organisation.
- Lead the team to develop and deliver IT solutions that meet customer requirements in a fit for purpose way. Ensure the IT solutions comply with IT policy and architecture requirements and are successfully operationalised to deliver desired benefits and that the customer experience is positive.
- Support performance and the delivery of the team and service area's outcomes by leading in a way that develops the team and service area's culture and capability to enhance collaboration, communication, customer focus, skills development and team climate.
- Provide input to the IT budget for the team costs and IT program delivery, continuously monitor, proactively flag areas of variation and (with the team, Head of IT and where appropriate business owners) develop a plan to address.
- Lead the development, implementation and improvement of the systems and processes for the effective delivery of IT project and program delivery, solutions operationalisation while supporting a culture of collaboration, performance and customer orientation across the service area.
- Engage with vendors / contractors as required to provide capability for the delivery of the IT program of work, ensuring that the vendors / contractors understand and comply with the organisational operating environment (including security requirements) and customers, are appropriately supported to deliver outcomes, and their performance is monitored to reduce risk of project timing and budget not being met or implementation issues arising.
- Work collaboratively with other members the IT Services leadership team and other key internal stakeholders to develop and implement contemporary digital/IT strategies and policies.
