**The Role: Project Security Officer**

Opportunity for a **Project Security Officer** to join our Under-Water Systems team based Rydalmere. You will be responsible for the implementation and verification of Thales’s policies and procedures and maintenance of all Security measures in line with the quality standards and within risks mitigation objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and manage security measures for the protection of assets within the area/facility, based on the conduct of the security risk assessment.
- Liaise with Corporate Security and Site Management on all defence security issues.
- Ensure security induction and annual refresher training is conducted to all personnel where relevant.
- Actively promote a culture of proactive security reporting and awareness.

**Your Skills**:

- Proven experience in security compliance within Defence and international settings.
- Strong knowledge of security controls, engineering, supply chain, and IT systems.
- Skilled in influencing, negotiation, and managing pressure.
- Experience in supporting security investigations and audits.
- Solid understanding of regulations with the ability to interpret legislation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, fostering stakeholder relationships.
