You will report to the Director, Lease Management and will be responsible for implementing asset policy and delivering performance improvements in the government office accommodation portfolio. You will be integral in driving improvements in the management and utilisation of the Government's office accommodation portfolio, particularly management of leased assets.Key responsibilities: - Use your proven and extensive commercial leasing skills and property knowledge to negotiate high level lease agreements that achieve best value for money leasing outcomes for the Queensland Government. Provide strategic leadership and direction and coordinate specialist property and lease management teams that manage: - Implementation of strategic asset management principles;
- Property operations and management;
- Leasing, maintenance, facilities management and operations,&
- The enhancement of utilisation of the State Government leased portfolio. Provide strategic leadership to multi-disciplinary asset, property and management teams and project control groups to ensure the effective planning, development, delivery and operation of commercial office leasing projects. Provide strategic and operational advice through briefings, business plans, programs, reports, submissions and correspondence on strategic asset, property, lease and facilities management issues relating to State Government leases. Ensure the effective financial control and management of all revenue and expenditure associated with the procurement, operation and maintaining of the allocated lease portfolio to support government priorities. Represent the Department on high-level government committees and in interactions with private sector, industry groups and other State and Commonwealth property related bodies in relation to significant issues affecting property leasing and management and building policy. Liaise, consult and coordinate with Senior Executives both within and external to the Department, local governments, industry representatives, other stakeholders and the community to ensure that allocated leased assets meet operational and environmental performance requirements in accordance with established objectives. Develop, implement and review policies and programs for the effective operation and management of leased government office assets.Applications to remain current for 12 months.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
