**The Role**
A logistics management role, supporting Army training. Melbourne University Regiment (MUR) need a junior logistics officer to join our small and dynamic logistics team.
- Perform governance duties on logistics inventory management activities in accordance with the business management system.
- Deliver logistics inventory management with information management systems and responding to inventory requests.
- Draft responses to correspondence, briefs and reports on logistics inventory management activities.
- Understand inventory management to provide straightforward advice to stakeholders.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.
- Listen to and adapt communication style and approach to meet the needs of different audiences and people.
- Seek feedback from supervisor to gauge satisfaction and seek assistance when required.
- Take the initiative to learn and comply with logistics procedures, legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks.

**About our Team**
Your logistics team operates to serve a highly respected Army Reserve unit. It is made up of full-time Army, full-time APS, and part-time Army (uniformed) personnel deliver training for the 8th Brigade to Army Reserve soldiers from across Australia.

Everyone works within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures.

MUR currently delivers Armoured Corps, Infantry Corps, and Transport Corps directed training for the Army Reserves, as well as internal training for Victorian & Tasmanian Army Reserve Officer Cadets.

This logistics team is an integral part of a larger central management team. Collectively we support each other and rely on each other’s knowledge and strengths to achieve directed training outcomes.

To be successful in this role as a logistics team member for the unit you will:

- Have a keen eye for detail;
- Have good communication skills and be confident working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders;
- Learn and demonstrate how Defence logistics processes, information systems and governance requirements are conducted;
- Be able to operate in a small team of experienced logisticians;
- Be comfortable working in a fluid environment, by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable.
- Have a good level of computer literacy including with logistics stocktaking systems. Security Clearance: applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
