About the Role
QT Melbourne is on the lookout for a charismatic and service-driven Porter to join our front-of-house team. In this pivotal role, you'll be the face of our hotel, delivering exceptional guest experiences with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism. From greeting guests with genuine enthusiasm to anticipating their needs before they arise, you'll help create a welcoming and well-organised environment that reflects QT's signature style. You'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service in line with hotel policies and procedures, ensuring every guest feels like a VIP from the moment they arrive. Skills & Experience

•    Previous experience in a similar role or hotel, with a strong focus on guest experience.

•    Proven ability to deliver warm, professional, and efficient guest service. 

•    Strong communication skills and attention to detail. 

•    Professional presentation and a customer-focused attitude. 

•    Ability to work collaboratively across departments. 

•    Knowledge of local area and hotel services is an advantage. 

•    Valid driver's license (if driving guest vehicles is required).

Key Responsibilities

•    Greet guests warmly at the hotel entrance, assist with baggage handling, and drive guest vehicles when required, ensuring a professional and welcoming first impression.

•    Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel foyer and entrance, and complete assigned opening and closing duties to uphold the hotel's standards.

•    Respond promptly to guest requests and special requirements, liaising with relevant departments to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution, including room preparation and service coordination.

•    Organise transportation and other services on behalf of guests, manage written guest communication programs, and assist with messages and facsimiles.

•    Communicate guest feedback, especially complaints, to hotel management, and remain fully informed about local attractions, hotel services, and events to provide accurate and helpful information to guests.

•    Participate in scheduled training and meetings, comply with workplace health and safety guidelines, follow operational procedures including cashiering, and support other departments such as Housekeeping and Back Office when needed.
