**About the role**:
We have an exciting position available to join the Learning & Development team as an Instructional Designer on a full time permanent basis Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you will work closely with the Associate Instructional Designer and the stakeholders across both Red Energy and Snowy Hydro businesses. You will lead the investigation of learning needs and gaps across Retail and Generation Group to identify, recommend and lead E-Learning initiatives that align to organisational strategy and improved employee performance.

You are experienced in designing programs that are suitable for different facilitation methods and fully understand adult learning principles and how they translate into bold employee development programs. You have undertaken learning needs analyses and have a good working knowledge of adult learning and the challenges of turning methodologies into commercially viable training. You can develop frameworks and pathways in both soft and technical skill sets and take complex concepts and craft them into neatly consumable pieces.
- Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Bachelor in Education and Training is preferred.
- 4+ years experience as an Instructional Designer, or similar role within a corporate or regulatory compliance environment.
- Extensive stakeholder management experience and skills is required.
- Demonstrated creative experience in the design, build and review of elearning programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and e-learning best practices and methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in instructional design tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Flash) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience in audio and video scripts and digital video editing is preferred.
