Working as an AHA with our inpatient acute teams you will see patients admitted to hospital with a variety of health conditions and be involved in their care to improve their function, mobility and quality of life. In this role you will provide individual therapy sessions; assist Physiotherapy staff in co-treatment sessions; and take with other responsibilities which may include the management of equipment or administrative tasks. You will also work with the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient centred care.

Our AHAs are well supported by experienced and dedicated Physiotherapists and have opportunities for professional development, education and training, and to participate in student supervision. Our department is friendly and supportive and this is an excellent opportunity to join our extensive AHA and Physiotherapy team in a well-supported role.

**To be Successful in this Role, you will**:

- Have a Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant qualification or equivalent, and experience working as an AHA in a health care setting. Experience working in the hospital setting is highly desirable
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be willing to learn and be committed to providing excellent patient care
- Have the ability to adapt and be flexible
- Work well within a team environment to assist patients and Physiotherapy staff
- Ensure safe and high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies, as instructed by Physiotherapy staff
- Contribute to a culture that values ongoing learning and be part of a positive workplace
