We are currently seeking a dedicated **Workplace Health & Safety Advisor** to join our team at our **Minchinbury, NSW** site. Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety, Wellness & Compliance in Melbourne, you will play a key role in promoting a proactive and engaged safety culture across our operations.
- Champion and embed a positive safety culture aligned with our national safety initiatives.
- Deliver and support the rollout of corporate WHS standards through training, coaching, and awareness initiatives.
- Analyse data from leading and lagging indicators, audits, and safety culture surveys to implement forward-thinking safety strategies.
- Support site managers in risk identification, incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action implementation.
- Conduct and facilitate safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments in line with safety management system requirements.
- Collaborate with fleet managers to ensure driver compliance with fatigue, mass, and maintenance obligations under NHVR and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations.
- Lead or participate in safety investigations and contribute to ongoing improvements based on findings.
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders during serious incidents and safety reviews.
- Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 45001, NHVAS, ONRSR, and HACCP.
- Contribute to strategic reviews and ensure local alignment with national safety goals.
- Liaise with the Senior Rail Safety Advisor and assist with maintaining and improving our Safety Management System (SMS).

- Qualifications in Work Health & Safety or a related field (Diploma or above preferred)
- Experience in WHS advisory roles, ideally within the rail, logistics or transport industries.
- Knowledge of Rail Safety National Law, ONSR regulations, and heavy vehicle compliance (NHVR, CoR)
- ICAM investigation training (desirable)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence outcomes and build positive relationships at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems
- Flexibility to support 24/7 operations and visit multiple sites when required
- High attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing safety priorities effectively
