Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Regulatory Officers on a contract for 5-6 months.

**Position Overview**

The successful contractor(s) will need to have the following experience and skills:

- Ability to acquire knowledge quickly and prioritise, manage or escalate issues and work
- Good attention to detail, organisation and communications skills
- Experience in engaging with stakeholders and maintaining stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated self-motivation and to work in a flexible environment as part of the LRET
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision, across teams and manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work within information frameworks, including privacy, secrecy and record keeping rules.
- Experience working in or with the renewable energy industry is desirable
- Work full-time including 7.5 hours per day five days per week (business days).
- Hold or be able to hold a baseline security clearance

The role will include the following duties:

- The large-scale renewables section (LSR) supports the renewable energy industry through a certificate trading scheme. As a Regulatory Support Officer in the team, you would assist with accreditation of new power stations.
- To ensure an efficient market the section validates the creation of large-scale generation certificates (LGCs). This requires analysis of generation data and working with generators to correct any possible errors.
- Research and draft documents, briefing material and correspondence relevant to the administration of the Large-Scale Renewable Energy Target and the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2001 and associated regulations.
- Engage with and provide technical legislative and policy advice to internal and external clients, government, and the renewable energy industry.
- Develop and present presentations to upskill, educate and inform internal and external clients.
