8-month labour hire opportunity in Woden, Canberra. Regulation and cost recovery within a key Branch.

**Your new company**
This well-known Federal Government Department is based in Woden, Canberra and responsible for the development and delivery of policies and programs to ensure better services for all Australians. They are seeking an APS6 Regulation Support Officer to join one of their teams to develop a sustainable funding model for in-house use.

**Your new role**
You will be responsible for investigating potential funding models that will support ongoing provision of the team’s Branch’s services which can respond to fast changes in the regulatory landscape. Your duties include but are not limited to
- Examining items that are actioned that may be related to cost recovery and entering this information into a spreadsheet for further analysis.
- Preparing discussion papers and provide accurate advice to the executive, the branch and external stakeholders who oversee the cost recovery and determine whether the team moves forward.
- Coordinating strategic stakeholder events and gather input to support the developing of a funding plan.
- Assist in the preparation of a Regulation Impact Statement (RIS), preparing meeting briefs, information briefs and complex ministerial correspondence.
- Establishing and fostering relationships through effective written and verbal communication as you will frequently collaborate with external stakeholders.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this position you will have previous experience within a similar position and within the Federal Government. You will also have experience in regulation or cost recovery, building positive rapport with internal and external stakeholders, highly developed analytical and written skills as you will respond to submissions and concerns, and the ability to be flexible and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
