Reporting to the General Manager of City Sustainability and Strategy, the Manager City Development will provide inspirational leadership to the Council’s Statutory Planning, Building and Health Protection Services teams. This role is a key senior leadership role within Darebin and will be responsible for driving positive cultural change, value-driven services and outstanding customer experience across the department through a period of transformation. This role will be instrumental in contributing to the overall success of Council now and into the future, through the development and implementation of strategies to ensure high quality land use, development, and health outcomes for the community. The Manager will collaboratively partner with both internal and external stakeholders to influence outcomes and support innovative projects, such as the Preston Central Activity centre. This role will have key involvement in the broader leadership of Darebin and will be involved in corporate social responsibility planning and partnerships.
