An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Merchandise Planning Assistant to join a dynamic team at allkinds.

Reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager, and also working closely with the Product Designer and Development Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the merchandise procurement process across Formulated and Non-Formulated product ranges by raising and maintaining purchase orders and production schedules, running reports, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, managing samples and general admin duties to support the team.

**THE ROLE**:

- Manage the item creation and maintenance and communication of purchase orders.
- Running reports as required
- Create, maintain and communicate delivery schedules.
- Support with stock allocations to stores as required
- Create and maintain Line sheets for distribution to relevant team, with correct images and information
- Manage communication with finance/supplier regarding payments for suppliers with special payment terms
- Support samples process - request from suppliers, receive packages, manage distribution to relevant departments
- General filing, printing and photocopying
- Assisting with faulty product procedures where required.
- Warehouse visits and ad-hoc requirements

**THE REQUIREMENTS**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent (Desirable)
- Exposure to working in a retail environment is advantageous
- Experience in Beauty/Bath & Body product (Desirable)
- Must be highly organised, numerate and detail oriented
- Excellent computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office suites especially excel (Adobe suite a plus)
- Genuinely team focused and collaborative.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal remembering this role requires much interaction with offshore suppliers whose first language often is not English
- Ability to prioritise, and good time management skills
