Rosso Coffee is seeking a passionate experienced specialty coffee professional to take the lead at our North Melbourne HQ.

The Head Barista is responsible for the daily running of the coffe section of the business, and the delivery of outstanding coffee, and customer service. They will be responsible for enhancing customer experiences, effectively managing other Baristas, meeting sales and profitability goals, and working closely with the head office to ensure continued growth and development. They are the bridge between the FOH and BOH and will liaise with the kitchen team at HQ on menus and venue food goals, ensuring the consistent delivery of speedy and outstanding dishes.

This is a Wednesday - Sunday, full time position. Public Holdays will be worked. All the appropriate Super, Holiday and Sick Day Contributions aligned with Victorian state regulations are paid.

Role Responsibilities
- Foster an effectively run and enjoyable venue for both patrons and employees, and a climate of cooperation and respect between co-oworkers.
- Update and implement all FOH, service and cleaning systems and procedures as needed.
- Weekly reporting to Head Office
- Order all FOH supplies and effectively manage stock levels - all necessary Bar, Paper, Stationary, Cleaning and miscellaneous supplies.
- Control all FOH recruiting and training - listing of ads, hiring, training and managing all FOH staff to agreed venue standard.
- Arrange for the servicing, repairs and replacement of all FOH equipment.
- Ensure wastage is minimised by careful supervision of food and drink preparation and storage methods.
- Remedy any problems or defects
- Oversee the work of the FOH team and manage changes where necessary
- Plan and manage FOH staff rosters, timesheets and attendance, ensuring budgets are adhered to.
- Liaise with the Social Media Coordinator on upcoming changes, new items, giveaways etc to ensure the effective relay to staff and patrons.
- Make sure the venue is always compliant with food and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Liase with the Head Office and Chef on the food and drink sales, and development of future menus and offerings.
- Ensure that all coffee, drinks and dishes are “polished” before they reach the customer.
- Ensure all food leaving the kitchen is always at a high standard.
