**About the Role**:
BHP Metals Exploration, part of the world’s largest integrated resources company, is moving into an exciting period of sustainable growth and development. With a clear strategy and focus on projects from early-stage concept development through to advanced exploration, we now have a newly created opportunity for a driven and passionate Exploration Geologist to further develop their career and shape the exploration nickel and copper portfolio within one of the world's most exciting and successful exploration businesses.

As Exploration Geologist within the Exploration team, you will be given the opportunity to:

- Acquire and interpret relevant geological information during drilling and field campaigns relevant to mineralisation targeting and regional geology understanding
- Completing defendable cross-sections.
- Deliver geological models and ideas with strong focus at prospect scale through integration of multiple datasets.
- Contribute to organise, model and interpret geoscience data (geological, geochemical and geophysical) to provide a transparent, defendable rank for a specific project
- Contribute to the design of effective exploration data acquisition plans that are project specific and permit the fastest route possible to a robust decision point for the next phase of a project.
- Contribute to the exploration plan, design and data capture for all active WA projects
- Contribute to the project-camp scale prospectivity analysis for nickel.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role you will be an accomplished and highly collaborative Exploration Geologist. You are team-oriented and results focused with a demonstrated track record in achieving results.

In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:

- An overriding commitment to health, safety environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or similar
- Experience with relevant experience in exploration.
- Understanding of Mineral Systems approach
- Knowledge in the use of geological software such as ArcGIS and leapfrog to develop models
- Ability to travel to remote work locations as and when required
- Part-time and Full-time options available
